Lots of goings on within the Brighton music scene at present. news came out this week that founding member of The Ghost of a Thousand Gez will no longer be playing Bass for the Hardcore Punk/Metal outfit. Nothing official has been released by the band at present. The band are currently in the process of writing and preparing to enter the studio to record the follow up to their 2006 long player ‘This is Where The Fight Begins‘.
In other news, Johnny Truant were forced to cancel most of their live dates throughout the summer to promote their new album No Tears after vocalist Ollie Mitchell fell off the stage and dislocated his knee. The band have since rescheduled all dates for December 2008.
Finally, rising stars Here There Be Monsters have also had a line up change after the departure of bassist Nickel, who will be committing full time to fellow Brightonians Furyon. In a strange twist of fate, knowing vocalist Anthony Giles for many many years, I will be standing in on Bass for any further dates booked for 2008.
