Well clocks have moved, light is creeping through the curtains a lot earlier and sloping off behind the horizon a lot later.
Plenty of things are on my particular horizon which I am looking forward to. After a bit of time off from the gig circuit, some extensive work with Garage Studios things are now hotting up in the diary.
This Friday will see some boyz from my hometown – Cove, play at the Cowley Club in Brighton, it will be the first show of theirs I have seen in something like five years so really looking forward to that. Expect shots, and a writeup on how it went down with my new Nikon SB800 in charge of lighting and Sigma 18-35mm lens in the optics department.
At the end of this month I have a very exciting shoot with Nedry, who I shot at the beginning of the year. The duo have become a trio with the introduction of a rather amazing looking female vocalist. Got some really exciting ideas for this shoot which I am leeking out through the Tumblr stream. Which brings me on to Tumblr, I am there, some say about time, others say ‘huh’? My purpose for it is a bit like a brain dump, plus it gives me a chance to reblog things that I have loved throughout the week/day/hour without interfering with my own work here.
Also coming up, Here There Be Monsters, Baroness (super exciting about that) Devil Sold His Soul playing back at The Freebutt, where I saw their, I think it was 3rd show years ago, that will be ace. I am also going to be doing a promoshoot with Here There Be Monsters at the beginning of May, this will coincide with the announcement of some tour dates, which will be great for the boyz after a lengthy hiatus due to the departure of bassist Nickel, and a brief fill-in stint by… well yours truly actually.
Finally, and I will keep this simple – I moved to the evil world of Apple. Yes, I am now rocking a MacBook Pro, brand new, shiny and desperately lacking warez, but all in good time.
