Back into production

Finally, some action is pushing its way back into the finger tips.

After moving house, a very intense work schedule (something I have no intention in ever repeating) everything is starting to ease off.

Over the last week I have invested in some new gear, mainly a much desired body upgrade to a Nikon D300s, which I have been havingĀ  a good soak test with in the last 7 days. There’s nothing to show just yet as I am now ploughing through the backlog I have ended up in as a result of the recent changes.

What I can tell you is that the last seven days have been busy, and fulfilling, starting last Sunday with a headline show from Brighton based Blackstorm featuring former members of The Ghost Of A Thousand, The Fall Of Efrefra and one of Britain’s most crucial metal bands of the last fifteen years Earthone9. Supporting by Here There Be Monsters and Arteriosis at the Prince Albert in the heart of Brighton city.

I have also had the fortune of catching a very intimate show with San Francisco’s Oxbow at Engine Room, Brighton, with support from Jackobs’ Stories, and last night finishing off the week with Orange Goblin at Concorde2, again with sets from Blackstorm, Here There Be Monsters and Cars On Fire which is where one of the biggest tests in benchmarking the D300s has come – video!

I am prepping for the back lash but yes, I shall be uploading a video taken on a digital SLR in High Definition (HD) and I can tell you, it really is something to be impressed by.

So I am back to picking up where I left off, with another series of images for the talented corset maker Chrissie Nicholson Wild. The final selections have been made for the next set and I will be working on them this week. Above is a test shot from that final series. There are some strobist details on the Flickr page.

Keep coming back, because there is a shit load of photographs from concerts to fashion heading this way, and of course that all new exciting venture into video.
