First video with Nikon D300s

Shot for Black Match Records TV, this is my first try with the Nikon D300s video capabilities. Shot during their support slot for Orange Goblin back at the beginning of November, I think it has come out pretty darn good!

There are a few issues with the video quality, it suffers from scan lines where there are extreme altering light patterns, as a result it doesn’t make it particularly idea for shooting from FOH like this, but I imagine on stage probably comes out quite nicely.

We rigged up an Shure SM58 instead of using the woeful internal mic, which I had strapped to my ass essentially using my body as a giant fleshy pop shield.

The sound came out really well with just a minor tweak to the bass frequencies in Final Cut Pro.
