Thanks Jack for that update, really great to hear that, a real shame I didn't know sooner all week bands have been tweeting and emailing about the turning up at Hobgoblin only to find it not open and having to drive home (one of which drove all the way from Leeds!)

Please keep me updated with everything that's happening and thank you for supporting the community.

Hey man, this is awesome, thank you! I will be spreading the word ofthis page as much as possible.

To carry on where you left off, indeed we aim to eventually compete with the likes of the biggest festivals in the world. In order to do this we require the support of every metal head in the south east...at least.

We are currently working with BLOODSTOCK and WACKEN open air festivals to bring the south eastern bands the biggest battle of the bands with prizes which include playing at those open air festivals AND Mammothfest 2010 amongst other prizes.

We are awaiting confirmation that Orange Goblin are booked, they will be letting me know Monday. We are also waiting for a reply regarding Exodus as we speak, fingers crossed so its very exciting at the Mammohfest camp.

If anyone is interested in getting involved then please contact us at www.mammothfest.co.uk as we aim to grow a huge team of like minded people that all want nothing but the best for metal here in southern England.

Andy, nice one

Hi,

I would just like to point out that this was not, or is not the last of metal at hectors! I am working closely with Steve from mammouthfest and the guys from Open Tage to ensure that this is not the case. Sadly there seems to be this rumour that metal is no longer welcome in the venue, which seems to be killing off any intereset from other similar promoters, or bands from wanting to use the venue. I understand promoters have recently had a few issues securing the venue for these shows, but as a new in house booking system has been put in place its hardly surprising.
Anyway, onwards and upwards, all the metal shows so far have been a success.

Great Pics by the way!
