01.20.10More Filming with Nikon D300sI have been having great success with the video features on the Nikon D300s, after shooting a live performance of Here There Be Monsters last year at Concorde2, and experimenting with a few techniques over the Christmas period, I got another opportunity to put it to more commercial use this month. 12.07.09First video with Nikon D300sShot for Black Match Records TV, this is my first try with the Nikon D300s video capabilities. Shot during their support slot for Orange Goblin back at the beginning of November, I think it has come out pretty darn good! There are a few issues with the video quality, it suffers from scan lines where there are extreme altering light patterns, as a result it doesn't make it particularly idea for shooting from FOH like this, but I imagine on stage probably comes out quite nicely. 08.07.09Adventures in Flash – Shooting bands with no lightingIt is the biggest let down for any photographer. You step inside the venue, trot up to the stage only to find that there is no stage lighting, or worse still, there is no lighting and the band are playing on the floor in front of the stage because there are too many amps and drum kits on the stage for them to fit!
