Another May, another Brighton Festival and the third (citation req) The Great Escape. This year I did not get a press pass, overlooked by the organisers for some of my fellow togs, and not wishing to follow up with any publications to stand in rain and queues for three days.
I did however get a message from Mr Big Scary Monsters to ask about covering the label showcase at the Hobgoblin on the Saturday which I duly accepted.
Nothing seemed to go to plan however. After a heavy night with Pete & The Test Tube Babies, the pub wasn't open at 3. ...
