04.26.10Hulk Smash Tour DiaryWhat's that? You thought I had gone? Guess again. For the last 11 days I have been on tour with Brighton based Here There Be Monsters, courtesy of Black Match Records. 12.08.09Mammoth Festival – taste the differenceSaturday saw Hectors House become the venue for two very pivotal moments in Brighton metal history. Despite this being the last ever metal gig to be held at the pub because the bar staff complained that they did not like the 'type of people these shows bring in' and that it was 'too loud' it's farewell from the Brighton metal scene chapter was one of great significance. 12.07.09First video with Nikon D300sShot for Black Match Records TV, this is my first try with the Nikon D300s video capabilities. Shot during their support slot for Orange Goblin back at the beginning of November, I think it has come out pretty darn good! There are a few issues with the video quality, it suffers from scan lines where there are extreme altering light patterns, as a result it doesn't make it particularly idea for shooting from FOH like this, but I imagine on stage probably comes out quite nicely. 11.15.09Back into productionFinally, some action is pushing its way back into the finger tips. After moving house, a very intense work schedule (something I have no intention in ever repeating) everything is starting to ease off. Over the last week I have invested in some new gear, mainly a much desired body upgrade to a Nikon D300s, which I have been having a good soak test with in the last 7 days.
