01.02.11Where are we heading?This morning after dealing with some slight visual issues, being that I couldn't see out of one eye, I looked through the posts I made in 2010. I very much took the year off in terms of music. 2005-2009 I was out at times every night of the week, snapping show after show submitting them wherever I could and regularly getting nowhere except increasingly frustrated and regularly told off for being a loud mouth and doing/saying things I shouldn't have in public. 12.20.10Nedry – Madam Jojo’s, London 15/12/2010[gallery link="file" columns="4" orderby="rand"] 3 years, 3 continents, 3 photosets and I finally get to see Nedry. Yes, I have taken my sweet time. No I have no excuses and yes, they are incredible. New stuff sounds like How To Destroy Angels, old stuff sounds like Portishead being done by Slint. It's all bloody great. Have a look through some nice, gritty, grainy black and white shots and go book your Ticket for SXSW next year because they've got an official showcase set and they're going to sound massive. 05.25.10Narrows – The Underworld, Camden[gallery link="file" columns="4"] Narrows ended their European tour in London at the Camden Underworld. A great show, but a little quiet for my liking which was a shame. Excellent set and they blew the stage power.

04.28.09Nedry Promoshoot ptIIIAnother capture from the photoshoot last weekend with Electronic Alternative trio Nedry. This was the first set up of the day and was based around a theme I was working on as part of an album-art concept. 04.27.09Balancing daylight with StrobesThis another from the Nedry promoshoot taken at Abney Park Cemetery, London. This was quite a tricky shot to set up. The alcove is very tight, which gave this wonderful frame, but the sun was pumping head on. Brilliant you might think! Wrong, because it means that dark crevices are seriously dark. The main issue was that Chris (in the back of the shot) was stuck in the shadows. Taking meter readings off the front was only going to expose the brickwork and Ayu and Matt at the front. 04.27.09Promoshoot – Nedry, Abney ParkSaturday was an intense day on location at Abney Park, Stoke Newington for a promotional photoshoot with three piece Nedry. Here is just a teaser image from the session with (left-to-right) Chris, Ayu and Matt, which will be used on the festival circuit this season. The electronic experimentalists already lined up to showcase at several weekend and all dayers around Europe. There will be a full set from the shoot along with a write up on the trials and tribulations of balancing sunlight with strobes over the next few days.
