Gear

I would firstly like to thank Barclaycard for funding my photography, I will actually be in your debt forever.

Avangelist Photography AKA Andy Parker uses:

Nikon D80 with 3rd party Battery pack/grip
This does actually help with the heavier lenses such as the Sigma, by adding ballast to the base of the camera. It also provides easier portrait shooting abilities with the additional shutter release.

Sigma 24-70mm f2.8
This is the workhorse of my kit bag. Sure it is only f2.8 but this little baby allows for f2.8 all the way through the focal range which just makes it the most valuable gem I have.

Sigma 24-70mm f2.8

Nikkor 50mm f1.8
Everbody says you should have one of these. I have to say that I rarely use it. It does provide absolutely amazing results for portraits giving excellent Brokeh at 1.8. Recently upgraded to a digital version of this lens, which is a lot faster at focusing in low light conditions.

Tamron 70-200 f3.5
Rarely leaves the house this one. Just no use for it at all.

Nikon SB600
What more do you need? You stick it on the top of the camera, it goes flash. I also utilise a variety of Cobra flashes.

Crumpler Big Boy
Despite the name, once I bought the Sigma and Battery grip this “Big Boy” simply is not big enough. It is however a rock hard bag, solid padding, completely water proof (tried and tested) and according the Crumpler will even keep out oils and petrol! Not that I will be tempting fate with that one.
